Chattanooga Elopements: COVID 19 UpdateCOVID-19 Latest Update as of April 2, 2020
Mayor Andy Berke has gave an executive order for Chattanooga's to Shelter in place and only essential business should be conducted. Rites of Marriage are an essential service as defined by the State Governor. "Religious and Ceremonial Functions. This includes, but is not limited to: religious facilities, entities, groups, personnel, services, rites, and gatherings, including weddings and funerals, provided that the Health Guidelines set forth in Executive Order No. 22 are followed to the greatest extent practicable;" However due to the most recent executive order by the Mayor we no longer have access to many of our locations that we use to conduct our ceremonies. We will continue to follow all orders of local , state and national governing officials and adhere to COVID-19 Social Distancing Guidelines. March 27, 2020 Yes we are open and still performing ceremonies but we are following all CDC recommendations as well as local Hamilton County and city officials recommendations regarding social gatherings.
