Chattanooga Elopements: COVID 19 Update

COVID-19 Latest Update as of April 2, 2020

Mayor Andy Berke has gave an executive order for Chattanooga's to Shelter in place and only essential business should be conducted.

Rites of Marriage are an essential service as defined by the State Governor. "
Religious and Ceremonial Functions. This includes, but is not limited to: religious facilities, entities, groups, personnel, services, rites, and gatherings, including weddings and funerals, provided that the Health Guidelines set forth in Executive Order No. 22 are followed to the greatest extent practicable;"

However due to the most recent executive order by the Mayor we no longer have access to many of our locations that we use to conduct our ceremonies. We will continue to follow all orders of local , state and national governing officials and adhere to COVID-19 Social Distancing Guidelines.  For more information about your previously scheduled elopement please contact us directly.

March 27, 2020

Yes we are open and still performing ceremonies but we are following all CDC recommendations as well as local Hamilton County and city officials recommendations regarding social gatherings. Please read below to learn how things have changed.

  • We give a friendly warm hello with a wave but no longer doing handshakes or hugs upon initial meeting and well wishes of congratulations.
  •  We ask that the couple hold their own rings or that a guests hold them, our officiants will not hold the rings during this time.
  • Your officiant will respectfully give you 6ft of space to perform your ceremony and you and your guests will still be able to hear every word of the ceremony.
  • If you have chosen to use one of our photography partners to capture your special day they too will also give you 6ft of space and have a variety of lenses that will still be able to capture intimate shots and details.
  • If you have not chosen a package that includes photography we are no longer taking pictures at this time with your personal phone but  are happy to use our own personal cell phone to snap a couple post ceremony pictures and text you the pictures if you wish.
  •  We are disinfecting our popular "We Eloped"  Sign in between ceremonies , many couples enjoy a photo with it but you do so if you do not feel comfortable.
  • It is recommending that gatherings be no larger than 10 guests we are recommending that you keep your ceremony completely private between you and your partner and happy to discuss with you if you have questions or concerns on a case by case basis but under no circumstance will we perform a ceremony with more than 10 people including our team.
  • If you have previously scheduled an elopement with us and have over 10 guests we are happy to reschedule your ceremony to a new date that works within both of our schedules.
  •  If you or your partner or any guests have been sick within the past 14 days we advise not to schedule a ceremony at this time or reschedule should you have already booked. If we arrive and anyone is exhibiting symptoms of sickness we will not perform your ceremony but reschedule for another date and time.
